The contact's husband owns a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated while her husband was driving 20 MPH and approaching a traffic light, the engine started to misfire. The contact's husband was unable to restart the vehicle after several attempts. The vehicle was towed to the hotel where he was staying. The vehicle was then towed to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the CP4 high-pressure fuel pump had failed. The dealer also informed the contact that there were metal fragments inside the fuel lines and the fuel injectors. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.
