Intermediate shaft problem. Has been an issue since 99 model Chevy/GMC trucks. The only fix they have is to remove the intermediate shaft and lube it every few thousand miles. At one time GM was replacing the shafts with a new model, however they cannot fix the problem and it keeps occurring. Not sure if the problem would lead to a possible injury situation.
