My Tahoe has been broken into 6 times now. One time the window was broken and the other 5 times the door was simply busted with a screwdriver or similar device, the door opened and the contents of the car taken without incident. The alarm has NEVER activated and the lock seems to take about 1 second to bust (it has made the security camera twice now). Obviously, thieves know this about the Tahoe. Why else would they target a 6 year old car parked next to many other newer and nicer cars? FIX THE LOCKS OR MAKE THE ALARM SYSTEM REAL! When I called Chevrolet they simply told me that the "alarm system" was not really an alarm but an "anti-theft device" meaning that a light blinks to scare away the bad guys and if you happen to stumble upon the perfect scenario you make actually set the alarm off... but it's doubtful.
