Had driven the vehicle approximately 350 miles when Anti-Skid light came on, when exiting the interstate it made squeaking sound. Took it to the dealer for warranty repairs.

Tahoe LT 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 95,000 miles

While on a 1300 mile trip after 1000 miles, right front wheel bearing failed. Managed to limp into a rest area in southern Kentucky to call OnStar for a tow. It was the Sunday before Christmas and was very doubtful of a quick resolution of the issue. Our Tow Truck Driver to us to a truck repair facility in Corbin, KY. The problem was quickly diagnosed, but they did not have a replacement bearing. The technician told be if they got the part it would be an extra $100, so I got in the Tahoe and limped to the O'Rielys Auto Parts Store to retrieve the bearing and took it back to the shop. It took the technician about an hour to remove and replace the bearing for about $100. So all in all it was a pleasant experience for a bad situation.

This was the second bearing to go out and it appears to be a design flaw similar to the 2006 Silverado's.
