Started out with a slow problem in June. In TX the temps are over 90 at that point. I work 2 miles from my home and the AC would never, and I mean NEVER, cool off on the way home. Did it all summer. Until my husband drove it, he had no idea how bad it was. It's been broken all summer, I figured it was just "hot" and my car didn't have time to cool down on the way home. He has been trying to charge it with freon from the auto parts store, but it's not cooling.
As long as the outside temp is under 85, I have half-ass cold ac that blows, otherwise it's hot as hell in there. I ride most days with my windows down. It' makes me furious that they have issued an extended warranty period for the 2015-17 Tahoes. How are the 2014 models not affected? I see THOUSANDS of us spending THOUSANDS of dollars for a fix to no avail. I am going to wait out the cooler weather right now, but I did call and make a formal complaint with Chevy today.
