Started noticing that the radio, whether on XM or FM, would always be on (in mute) when I started the vehicle since I first obtained it. The problem is somewhat intermittent because very, very few times it actually stays off as I left it. A few times it has turned on (in mute) on the menu screen which shows various icons such as settings, radio, navigation etc. I always hold down the button and turn it off as a habit since I don't always listen to the radio, especially when I'm chauffeuring my elderly mother around, so this has become extremely annoying. It's not only been into the dealer (Rosner Chevrolet in Melbourne FL) but I've also contacted customer service and even met with a rep at the dealer. This has been on going for the past six months and so far they've said things like "It's working as designed", "It returns to a home screen every time", "We can't help you" or "Maybe in the future someone will change that. We'll notify you then".
This is an LTZ with the Sunfun package, the Max Trailering package and 22" wheels. It easily costs very close to $80 thousand and I can't keep my radio off! So disappointed after waiting and choosing Chevrolet. By the way, I also noticed this in at least 50% of the loaners and rentals they have provided me the numerous times I've had to return this vehicle to the dealer.
Update from Jun 5, 2016: I have had the vehicle for almost two years now and still no resolution.
