I’m a mother of 3 children and working full time. We just closed on a house. Two of our children have Type 1 Diabetes which is demanding and costly. A few days after we closed on our house at a whopping 7% interest rate my check engine light comes on in my primary vehicle. My mechanic told me to just replace the engine for $13,000 because it’s such a hassle to replace the lifters which are the issue. The code is P219B.
Update from Apr 3, 2024 After a lot of reading it turns out that lifters failing in Tahoes happens all the time! Mine only has 79,000 miles and I’m faced with either a new engine or thousands in repairs. It’s financially devastating.
