On my way to a camping trip on Labor Day weekend, my serpentine belt shredded in the middle of a busy road. I lost my power steering and smelled burning rubber and load squealing. I pulled into a used car lot and thankfully a mechanic happened to be there to tell me what the problem was. I had to have the van towed to the dealer and it wasn't supposed to be covered under the warranty (out of bumper to bumper but still have powertrain), but the dealer fixed it all for free and gave me a free rental when they didn't have to. The belt should have never went on such a new vehicle, and the cause ended up being a bad pulley. This a horrible van.
