The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the failure might be related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V010000 (Electrical System, Hybrid Propulsion System) and that the remedy was not available. The failure mileage was 27,000.

The contact stated that while idling at a stop light, the -€œService Charging System" message displayed and the vehicle independently shifted to park(P) and became undrivable. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The contact indicated that the vehicle was previously serviced for a similar failure and the electric coolant heater was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,000.
