My local car dealer tried three times to remedy the issue, then when another issue arose (rough gear changes) they thought the issue would be fixed when the transmission was replaced. It was not however. Holden engineers Australia looked in to the issue and have advised that this is a characteristic of the vehicle - a shudder that varies between a shake of the steering wheel in your hands to a shake of your body in your seat. I requested this in writing but Holden Australia issued a statement advising what the issue was not. As this transmission is used across the Holden range, I advise you think twice. I am waiting to see the outcome when the transmission shudders in wet/snowy or frosty conditions, will I lose traction.
