After visiting paradise Chevrolet for the service of GM Hummer H2, 2003, it was brought to my attention that the hydro booster assembly as well as the pitman arm assembly need to be replaced. After further investigation I found that these part were on recall from Hummer (I have proof of the recall). On October 11, 2011, at approximately 2:20 P.M., I called General Motors Hummer division as the notice instructed the customer to do so, their contact number for Hummer is 1 (866) 436-6375. I contacted GM's Hummer division at this number, explained the situation and the customer representative said there was no such recall even after explaining with proof of same. I then asked to speak with a supervisor I was refused, asked for a manager I was refused, asked for corporate telephone number. I was left on hold for over 15 minutes and finally hung up after realizing that the customer service rep. Was never going to come back on the telephone line. GM is refusing to honor their own recall, I need help please, thank you!

The contact owns a 2003 Hummer H2. While barely moving at less than 1 mph, the contact experienced a failure in the braking system due to the rusted brake lines. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the hoses and calipers were replaced. The failure mileage was 28,071. The current mileage was 29,000. Updated 05/25/10 the consumer stated the entire undercarriage has rusted. Updated 05/28/10

My 2003 Hummer H2's service brakes light keeps coming on along with the traction control & ABS light, and every time I brake it seems to pull me all over the road. It is also very hard to stop if I suddenly have to brake and I am scared I am going to have a major collision with another vehicle or another object. This is very dangerous! there are many times I have applied pressure to my brakes and it didn't even slow at all. I am terrified to drive this vehicle as I have 3 very young children usually with me & I bought this vehicle under the impression that it would be a safe vehicle for my children & more importantly my 5 year old daughter that had brain surgery less just over a year ago that cannot hit her head or be in a minor car crash because her skull may come apart and kill her instantly, this is the very reason I bought this big, roomy, gas guzzler to begin with, to give my child enough room in a minor car crash to not hit her head because the vehicle did not have enough room or she was too compacted in a smaller SUV and I am finding out I might have been better off with another smaller vehicle. I have had nothing but problems with the safety of this vehicle, and this was a very bad decision to buy this vehicle and now I have no options to trade it in right now because I have to much in it. Please do something about this before someone gets killed or seriously injured because I could not stop my vehicle and yes, my brakes are almost new so its not the problem, nor does it have low brake fluid.

Windshield wiper intermittent. Comes on without switch being activated, will not go off at all. Pulled fuse at the dealership still wouldn't go off. Was driving down the road in the rain, wipers would not function at all, however wiper fluid was rapidly spraying out at full spray and continued to spray after fluid was all gone. Bad visibility problems. Had to pull over to side of freeway in redding, ca and call local Hummer dealer which was 100 miles away. Gentleman I spoke with said he had heard of this many times. Got it fixed, and it did not remedy the problem. Now I have front end problems, brake problems, frame is squeaking really bad and dealership cant find anything wrong. Rear passenger window keeps falling down. All in all Hummer are the biggest pile of junk on the road. Ill never give my money to GM again. They do not stand behind what they sell. Now I cant even trade it in. They'll sure take your money and finance you no problem, but when you have problems they turn the other cheek and act like nothings wrong or its all your fault. I have a very strict maintenance program for all my vehicles, so them saying that its my fault, or if its involved in a crash, insurance companies want to place blame too. Good thing I have records...lots of records. I've also had problem with seat recall. One of the first times I drove it the easy out was activated and it crushed me up against the steering wheel. I turned that off really quick!

I bought a 2003 Hummer H2 brand new. Since the day I got it had many problems, both electrical and mechanical. The steering is very hard and the breaking is ineffective at times. I showed them a copy of the bulletin on this website. They did not acknowledge any problems. The issue still persists. Many electrical issues seat memory problems, mirror don't work..etc. Eventually the electrical issues fixed. Roof leaking water from the reading light on two occasions once because of sunroof issue and the second time because of the outside roof light. Now most recently I have been having a problem with the "check engine oil" light comes on every 5 to 6 weeks and way before an oil change is due. This has happened at least 5 times so far. Everytime the engine is missing oil. The dealer says that Hummer allows the engine to burn one quart of oil for every 100 gals of fuel. I said what am I supposed to do when that light comes on. The service manager said pull off the road and check the oil. I said what am I supposed to do if the oil is low. He said add oil to the engine. I said so I have to drive with a couple of quarts of oil in the back all the time" the light comes on every 5 to 6 weeks. I said how many Hummer have you sold? he said many. I said how many you know of do that? he said none. I said if none do that, why does mine do it? and if this normal why none of the others do it" the dealer refuses to acknowledge any leak of oil or any burning of oil by the engine!!!!!!!
