The contact owns a 2005 Hummer H2. The contact stated that the windshield wipers malfunctioned while driving 60 mph in inclement weather. The contact was forced to maneuver to the shoulder and wait until the rain stopped. In addition, the contact stated that the windshield wipers only functioned intermittently. The contact owns a 2005 Hummer H2. The contact stated that the windshield wipers failed. Through online research, he discovered NHTSA campaign id number 08V456000 (visibility:windshield wiper/washer:motor). The recall states that vehicles have a condition in which water can enter the windshield wiper motor module. If a sufficient amount of water enters the module, over time, the front windshield wipers may work intermittently or they may become inoperative. The contact wants Hummer to repair this issue, but his VIN was not included in the recall. The current and failure mileages were 70,000.

The contact owns a 2005 Hummer H2. While driving approximately 55 mph in rainy weather conditions, the front windshield wipers did not operate when activated. The driver experienced extremely limited visibility. There were no warnings prior to the failure. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection and they replaced the windshield wiper module. The VIN was unknown. The failure and current mileages were 79,000.
