Hyundai has a issue with the wiring on the positive battery cable. The cheapest and best fix is to put a 4 gauge wire from alt to battery and bolt it on and leave it fixes almost all issues with Azeras electric problems.

Azera Limited 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

While driving, the headlights, dash lights, air, and radio all turn off or dim(lights) for two to three seconds then come back on. It usually happens when I take my foot off the gas or when I step on the break.

I had the alternator replaced twice, leads to the battery and battery replaced, several other parts replaced, been told there is oil leaking on the alternator that could be causing it to malfunction, and finally, had the entire electrical harness around the engine replaced. The last repair fixed the problem.... temporarily.

I had the electrical harness replaced winter 2014 and in February 2015 we started to notice that the headlights are starting to dim (only slightly now, but getting more noticeable) at deceleration. The dealership had it 13 times to try to figure out the problem and fixed various things along the way. The kept telling me it was fixed and on the drive home from the dealership the problem occurred, clearly it was not fixed. No one seems to know what is wrong with my car.
