My Palisade is 2.5 years old. I keep it in impeccable condition. Always washed, waxed, and well maintained. After driving through a heavy rainstorm, I noticed the entire forward roof paint was peeling off in sheets. Giant flakes separating from the primer. A total eyesore and embarrassment to drive.
I went to my local dealer, Courtesy Hyundai of Tampa and after pictures taken, assurances given, and three weeks of no calls and no updates, I learned they will not be repairing my paint issue.
This is totally unacceptable. Having driven Hondas, Nissans, and Toyotas hundreds of thousands of miles with NEVER a paint issue, to have this obviously faulty paint job be denied repair is ridiculous.
I used to love my Palisade. Now I am embarrassed to drive it. Such BS that the company covers the paint for only 36,000 miles. And does not waver in that stance. Seriously? Paint suddenly flaking off in such a way means there is a major problem with the Hyundai painting process. You'd think they'd care.
They do not.
