The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the engine was extremely low on engine oil, even though oil had been added 1,000 miles before the failure. The contact was informed that the engine was consuming oil abnormally fast. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 44,000.
