I just purchased this 2014 Hyundai sonata. While I was removing things from the trunk, I felt a sharp pain - and I noticed blood on my hand. I cut my finger on the pointed, sharp piece of metal coming down from the top back of the trunk. It really hurt. I contacted Hyundai because I couldn't understand the purpose of the sharp pointed piece of metal. I did everything they asked me to do: Wrote a letter, filled out a form, and sent photos. With the exception of 2 phone calls from them, they have completely ignored my complaint. I sustained an injury - and they wanted to send me a $50.00 gift card! I checked other 2014s and they all have the same sharp, pointed, metal prong coming down from the top/back of the trunk. Someone else could get hurt by this! HOWEVER, I see that the 2015s have some silicone around the sharp metal piece. I will be seeking a legal consult, as Hyundai has completely ignored me. Have there been other injuries like this reported???? Bad new, Hyundai
