On Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022 after going through car wash, brakes locked, the dash flashed all warning lights and would not start. Car had to be towed on flatbed to home. Taken to Wyatt Johnson Hyundai in Clarksville, TN on April 18, 2022 where it remained until July 27, 2022 due to part shortages and incompetence. The wires were damaged by rodents chewing on the wires and water from the car wash shorted the electrical system. Hyundai knew that there was a problem with the soy glue used on the wiring attracting rodents. My insurance paid for the repairs and $1k of the rental charges.

Requested compensation for rental charges incurred during the excessive amount of time it took to partially replace the electrical system wiring. I received a $250 gift card and the case was promptly closed once deemed an insurance claim.

We live near a nature preserve. My car has had various wiring eaten. I have tried many home remedies, but still... The varmints keep eating the soy wiring.
