Oil consumption was a known issue before. Dealership only recommended topped off oil. Oil needed to changed every 3 to 4 weeks or around 1000 miles. Engine seized in the middle of driving, nasty sounds and a lot of shaking. Mechanic said the oil completely leaked out and I changed the oil that same day. Dealership wanted around $900 to even submit an application to review for an engine replacement under the recall and wait a couple months for an answer, but I had a wedding, so not really an option. Paid over 7k for a used engine (yes, that is correct and due to bad market I acknowledged). Screw this company and this car. As the car community claim, they are killing it...

Update from May 7, 2023: 7 months in... Replacement engine goes kaputs. Again, screw this company.

My car is used daily 65 miles each way on highway. All oil changes under 5K miles, but at 115K miles started drinking oil like crazy. Hyundai ran tests every 2 weeks and said I need a new engine but they will not pay for it? After calling corporate several times they said you pay $4,000. and will do the rest.

I had no other choice and put it on a credit card. I bought this car new for what I was told was over 40 miles to a gallon, never got better than 32 miles per gal. I feel so ripped off, I had an extended warranty that I went past a few thousand miles. I always felt that Hyundai should have put the new engine on their own expense. I get upset thinking what a bad car Hyundai put out!
