I went out side at 6 AM on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024, and found my 2015 Hyundai Tucson locked and running. The windshield wipers were on. I did not start the car myself and it was locked. Both keys were inside my house and had not been out of my care. The remote start key was in my locked jewelry box, never having been used since I owned the car. My regular key was in my purse. I did not know what to do so looked on line and found several incidents similar to this but unexplained. I called two Hyundai dealerships, a corporate office, and a national Hyundai help line. No one from Hyundai that I spoke with had ever heard of such an incident, although there were a few reported by private individuals on the internet. On that evening the car started up on its own outside my house at 6:00 o-??clock. I called the police who told me to disconnect the battery for safety-??s sake. I called the Hyundai numbers again and they have agreed to talk with in a few days.

My 2015 Hyundai Tucson (62,000 mi) has been having issues of late, I-??ve been to my mechanic several times and the last 2 times my car was completely out of oil. There weren-??t any warning lights and I just felt it was running -??weird.-?? Now I-??m told there us a risk of the engine seizing, catching fire, etc. and I have to constantly check the oil. I-??m a senior citizen, so this isn-??t easy for me. There is an engine defect causing the cars to need excessive amounts of oil and as more damage occurs, the engine eventually fails. What if I-??m on a highway and that happens? Please make Hyundai fix these engines or give us new cars or enough money to buy a new one. They are stalling and putting us all at increased risk.

Financed for a 2015 Hyundai Tucson at Byrider. On February 25th 2023. Check engine light flashing as I'm losing power unable to stay within speed limit at 40mph. Byrider service asked me to bring it in. I did. They called me back and hour later told me to come get the vehicle and take it to Hyundai. I told them I didn't feel safe driving the vehicle it was hard enough getting the vehicle to them only able to drive 40mph on the interstate. I was told they would have it towed to Hyundai west off Pike plaza. They still haven't received the vehicle and I'm unable to reach Byrider service waiting for a return phone call. Please help what do I do now?..

I called Wayne Mazda on 9/7/22 to make an appointment to fix this brake recall and to have my car serviced. I was given an appointment for January 17, 2023, which is 4 months later. I called several times to try and get a current appointment and was denied each time, so I contacted Hyundai and filed a complaint. My case number is 20485596. Also my dashboard light showing low tire pressure stays on, even though AAA came and filled the tires. We are seniors and my husband is in a wheelchair, and I feel 4 months is an unreasonable length of time to wait for a brake (potential fire) recall and service. Any help you can provide with this complaint would be appreciated.

I have been receiving important safety recall notices from Hyundai Motor America since February stating they are preparing a remedy. The ABS modules could malfunction and result in an engine fire while I am driving the vehicle or it is parked. This is very concerning. Each time I have my car serviced I ask Hyundai service dept. to address the recall and I am told the part is not available.

I have not had a fire yet, but I have had to keep my car outside since February 2022. This has caused wear and tear on my vehicle. Given this hardship and risk of fire to my home and farm (even when my car is parked outside), I believe a remedy not being available within six months is an unreasonable amount of time for such a serious risk.

Our hyundai tuscon has been in a recall since Februrary 2022. The NHTSA recall number is 22V056000. We have contacted hyundai and our local dealership a few times about getting this fixed and frankly getting the run around. I don't know how why it's taking so long to get this fixed.

I currently represent Mr. Jeffrey Harvey as his attorney. Hyundai has failed to provide a remedy for more than four months for Mr. Harvey's vehicle. The recall campaign has not sent further instructions or details about the proposed remedy for the problem with the vehicle. Please advise as to exactly how long Hyundai has to come up with a remedy for the vehicle, and what exactly the options are for reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses.

I own a 2015 Hyundai Tucson and was notified by letter of the Safety Recall, Campaign 218 for the defect on the ABS system and campaign 966 for a software update. It took over a month to get an appointment at the Hundai dealer, Fucillo Hyundai in Schenectady, NY. They completed the software change, but I was told that a remedy was not available for the more dangerous and threatening ABS problem. At present, they do not have a fix and don't know when it will be available - possibly up to two more months. I have parked this car in a garage that is located directly under my living room since I bought the car in 2015. Apparently my house could have been combusted anytime this last 7 years. After learning of the magnitude of the risk I don't want to drive this car or even have it on my property. Instead of sending me this mealy mouth letter and talking with a mealy mouth Hyundai agent who has no information (other than to wish me a nice day) I want Hyundai to provide me with a rental car that is safe to drive and park at my house. I'm a 78 year old woman living on a remote dirt road in Vermont who (these days) only drives back and forth to the grocery which is 10 miles round trip. I drove almost 100 miles yesterday to take the car to the dealer in Schenectady for the service. I will have to drive over there again when they are ready to fix this problem. This is not good enough!!!!! Well, let's get serious: exactly how far from said structure should the car be parked" 25 ft, 50 ft 100 ft?? Is there a recommended time or distance limit the car may be driven in a day/trip or other unit of measure? Is there a recommended speed? My car has 60,000 miles on it. Is that a factor? Is the outside ambient temperature a factor? How far away should I stay from other cars? Do they know or recommend"

Oil consumption. Why is my car using so much oil" I do regular oil changes and I-€™m always 1 -2 quarts low when I go in for my oil changes. Last oil change. I was told to come back in 1000 miles. I-€™m 300 miles shy of that and I checked it and I was already a quart low. With all the complaints that I-€™ve just read. You-€™d think you a recall be done. Or taking the cars off the market. What I-€™m a supposed to do in the meantime about this" Help!! Emmett Idaho

There are a lot of reports stating that Hyundai doors stop opening and a recall should be done to fix the problem. I had my rear passenger door stop opening from the inside and outside of the vehicle. It is a safety issue in case of an accident and I-€™m am not able to get into that door to get to my children in the back seat especially if the other door is damaged in the accident or if there is a car fire. Please check into this it is a safety issue and my vehicle only has 67000 miles on it.

Driving down the road and suddenly the check engine light came one and the engine started producing a knocking sound. I called several dealerships and had a couple of them run the VIN, which they said there are no recalls. However one dealer had mentioned that Hyundai vehicles, including Tucsons are starting to come in at astonishing rates with the same problem I have. I called Hyundai USA and they said there have been some known issues with engine failure describing the same problems mine has along with some known to have increased oil consumption, but they do not know why. They even said that sometimes the owners would not know of the increase in oil consumption and it could in turn cause engine fires. Any dealership I have contacted said due to the increase of vehicles brought in with the same problem, they are unable to even look at my vehicle for a month and to repair is possibly several months out.

My vehicle was stationary in my garage when I started to leave for work when the car began to shake, and the engine turned off. I restarted the car, and the check engine light, which was not previously on, now was, and my airbag light indicator was on as well. Since this time, my shifter cable has broken, and the brake light switch has malfunctioned. To try and remedy this, I have purchased and replaced my ignition coils, spark plugs, brake lights, shifter cable, crankshaft position sensor, the master power window switch, and fuse plugs. And this still has not fixed the issues occurring with the vehicle.

There was a recall on my car which followed under the campaign 958 which was unknown to me until my car engine seized while driving on I-5 highway. Due to the fact I did not know of the recall when this incident happened I had to get it towed to the closest auto shop. They were unsure of what caused the seize and tried to replace the starter (cost around $340). The auto shop got it to turn on but then heard a loud knocking in the engine and suggested if I called Hyundai dealership to see if there is a recall because they would have to replace the engine. I called and got the confirmation that there was a recall and got it towed to their parking lot(around $98). I believe it was a Monday when it made it to the parking lot and said the techs would have to check it out and send up an approval if the engine is covered and till the confirmation came through I would have to get a rental out of pocket. So from Monday to Thursday I had to get a rental through enterprise(around $350) because on Thursday I received a call from the dealership stating that I was approved and could get one of the dealership rentals till the repairs were made which resulted in my entire engine being replaced. I had their rental I believe from Friday to the next Thursday and then I was able to pick my car up. After all was said and done I submitted to the reimbursement branch all the expenses I paid with the receipts that was early July when I got confirmation that it was received. Since then I have reached out numerous times trying to get an update for how long it would take and if I could speak to a supervisor or even have the person working on my case removed to somebody else to make things work faster. I was told they don't have supervisors and that my claim is with higher management for approval and that it has been there since the 6th of August.

I have a Hyundai Tucson that has a recall notice. I live in juneau Alaska where there are no Hyundai dealers. I contacted Hyundai and spoke with some very nice people who could not help me because of a casemanager named gretchen. Gretchen wanted me to have the vehicle shipped to the nearest Hyundai dealer. That would be impossible because juneau has no road network and barge costs would be about four thousand dollars. I spoke with gretchen about the dilemma. She was rude and demanded I find a way to get the vehicle to the nearest Hyundai dealer. I explained this is not what I was told when I bought the car. I asked gretchen for her supervisors contact information. She told me she was over all Alaska and had no supervision. I called the Hyundai customer care center and spoke with tabitha who could not help me because of gretchen and gretchen was the only one who could give her supervisors number. At this point I have a recalled vehicle that the manufacturer refuses to service. Can anyone help?

First time ever my vehicle quit while I was driving after having it for 3 years. I took great care of my vehicle. I had to get a tow truck to tow my 2015 Hyundai tuscon limited to dealership. I was told it is external component worn out and it will be a week before they can give me an answer. Really"?" I asked if this is normal. Wouldn't give me an answer. They cannot provide a loaner car. I think I need to go with dealership that provide a loaner car. I am do my research to see if I should continue buying Hyundai or go with different Ford or Chevy

The contact owned a 2015 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle at 50 mph, other drivers began to alert him that there was fire emerging from underneath the vehicle; there were no warning signals alerting the contact of the fire. The contact pulled over and noticed the fire coming from under the front driver side tire. The contact called 911 and by the time the fire department reached him, the vehicle was totaled. There were no injuries due to the fire, and the contact filed both a fire and police report. The vehicle was first towed a junk yard and then to the contact's home. The contact called the dealership (rick case Hyundai 925 N state rd 7, plantation, fl 33317 (954) 388-9627) and the contact was referred to a pre-owned sales manager. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.
