Took into Hyundai because of a clunk in the Steering. Mechanic just seemed to guess it was the shaft, and when it was taken out, the joint where the two parts of the intermittent shaft joint was worn out. When I picked it up there was still a clunk. Mechanic diagnosed the rack had worn on the drivers side causing a clunk on the counter clockwise steering wheel rotation.
I've owned this car from 79000-108000. August 2018 to present and never owned anything as terrible as this. And I've never owned anything never then a 2006. My 2005 Toyota echo has a hole in the floor big enough for my head to fit through and 378000 on it. Not even a front end part replaced.
So far: 5 tires $$$ Seized brake calipers $150 Rear shock absorbers $250? (warranty this time) Rack and pinion ($450+labor (covered under warranty)) Interior accessories ($125 + labor (warranty this time around) Steering shaft ($750+labor (warranty covered))
