The contact owns a 2002 Jaguar X-type. The contact described a lengthy hesitation when depressing the accelerator pedal at 35 mph. The contact stated that the vehicle decreased to aproximately 5 mph without warning. The dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. The current and failure mileage were 35000.

Twice while attempting to back into a parking place, consumer put foot on brake when vehicle flew foward into a parked car. Consumer states foot was not on accelerator. Took to dealer and they stated that the black box reported that both brake pedal and gas pedal were pressed at the same time.
