Had a recall in Oct.'18 concerning fuel economy and engine efficiency. Got to the dealer, sat 2 hours then was told they didn't have the part and to reschedule. At the next appointment they said there was another recall, not yet sent to owners. I agreed to let them do that recall as well. I've now lost, on average, 9 miles per gallon. Further, the gas gauge is now inaccurate.
It isn't the car so much as the dealerships and complaint department. One dealership wasn't even aware that Optimas are available in standard shift when my mechanic inquired if a special tool is needed to replace the clutch. First gear/clutch has been iffy since I bought the car and was blown off by the original dealership. Further, I resent having to have my mechanic that, even though I'm a woman and older, I could probably still drive circles around the insulting fools I've been dealing with. It isn't so much the car as the service personnel I've had to deal with. That's why I won't consider buying another KIA.
