Bought the van a year and a half ago with 75,000 miles from original owner who I know. Have never had any issues other than regular maintenance. A few days ago turning into my driveway (making a right turn) the wheel was so hard to turn that I thought the van had cut off and almost ran into my yard. Got out checked all fluid level and decided to drive slowly around the neighborhood and had zero issues until I got back to my house to make the same right turn. It once again was hard to turn but once it got toma certain point it looosened back up.

First I would like to say I love my Kia Sedona. That being said, this is a horrible problem. I was backing out of a parking spot at Walmart and someone was waiting to get into my spot but I couldn't turn the steering wheel. I had to use all my strength to pull the steering wheel enough to miss a parked car as I was at a snail pace trying to move so the other person could get into my now vacant spot. I know they were thinking I was just some old fart who shouldn't be driving in the first place. It was really scary. I understand there was a recall on the steering back in 2005, but I never heard about it. Kia should reinstate the recall so we can get that fixed. This is extremely dangerous and I am not the only one with this problem. Who would I have to call to get this fixed?

Unable to turn the steering wheel at low speeds. Stops working while pulling out of the driveway or backing out of parking spaces. It has just stopped working in parking lots where the wheel will not turn. Potentially very dangerous.
