I went in today for an oil change and mentioned that the new door seal (recently replaced under warranty) was wearing just like the original seal. Dealer said that it was something that I was doing and that they would not cover it under warranty. Since I did not have this problem on my previous Soul (2012), I find this hard to believe. They have a regional service person arriving on Thursday (1/8/15) and I will return to the dealer to get another opinion. Hopefully, they will fix it. I have rather long legs and have the seat moved back pretty far but I don't think the seal should wear this fast.

This is my second Kia Soul. I previously owned a 2012 Soul, liked it a lot, and traded it at around 45K for the 2014 in March 2014. This problem did not occur with my 2012 Soul. It seems that they may have changed the layout of the interior or moved the front doors to where it is nearly impossible to avoid contact with the seal when exiting the vehicle. My second complaint will follow for the newly replaced seal.
