My 2008 Kia Sportage was involved in a rear end collision. The front seat backs on both sides failed and were in the fully reclined position. The rear slider on the drivers seat failed and pushed driver into steering wheel. The rear seat is a 60 40 split. The 60 % side detached from the locking latched and moved forward. The vehicle sustained to much damage to be fixed and was totaled. However the fact the all the seats lost all their safety integrity, This is should be investigated by manufacturer to prevent serious injury in a vehicle accident, my family was fortunate and not severely injured.
