The contact owns a 2008 Land Rover LR2. The contact stated that the sunroof ceased in the opened position. The contact stated that one track was fractured. The vehicle was taken to Land Rover birmingham located at 3000 tom williams way, birmingham, al 35210, where it was stated that the vehicle was not subjected to a recall. The contact was informed that a specialist was needed to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 146,000.

After I did the recall about the sunroof, maybe a month after the recall when I try to use the sunroof, the parts just came out of the tracks and broke. I call Land Rover and they said is nothing they can do, I will have to pay from my own pocket, oh well now I have tape on my sunroof because something that Land Rover should fix. Please if somebody can help with this I really appreciate!! thank you!!

In addition, the contact stated that the rubber sealant and the sun roof fractured. As a result, the contact was unable to close the sun roof. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the sun roof needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was aware of NHTSA campaign number: 08V055000 (visibility). The failure mileage was 96,000.
