I 've had so many problems with this car it's ridiculous. Engine safe light shuts car speed down, have to turn it off and start it back up to work. Engine light won't go off at times. Catalytic Converter went out on it. The turbo boost accelerate from time to time. I bought it used with 45000 miles. Boy was I suckered! I drove this car for a yr, the rest has been in shop ever since and the problems are still not fixed. The car is paid for now, and it's still giving me problem, so I had to buy another car. It's so sad that I had to endure this, paid for a car I only drove about 1yr. I really don't know what's the problem. Bad investment.....

I drove the car to work in the a.m. and all was fine. I then went to lunch snd all was fine. I left work and while on the highway it started to mis-fire and then the check engine light came on. I was worried about it not running at all but it kept running. As I drove up the hill to my house, the check engine light started flashing!! I called for a tow not knowing how bad the problem was. When the tow arrived the car started right up and ran smooth.

The dealer said that there was water in the #5 cylinder and that I drove through a puddle which is b.s. as it rained the day before and if I DID drive through a puddle, wouldn't the air cleaner be soaked and water in all of the cylinders? The problem occurred also AFTER I picked up the car and was driving home and then disappeared shortly thereafter.

Fast forward 7 months later and it turns out the valve gasket was leaking oil on to the plug, a common problem with all LS models.
