My MKC unlocks itself sometimes when I lock the car by touching the handle. I touch the handle, and a few seconds later the car unlocks, sometimes, randomly. Hard to tell, when it happens consistently. Very annoying since I have to double, triple and quadruple check that the car is indeed locked before I leave it for a while. My worry is that if I tell this to the Ford service shop, they will undoubtedly say that they couldn't reproduce the situation. (They have said this for another problem that required two visits before they finally admitted, yes, they finally got the problem.)

Neither the dealer or Lincoln has a fix for the problem. They say that they cannot get the problem to happen. Of course not. I have no idea what is causing the doors to randomly automatically unlock up to twice when I lock them. Standing by the car and fiddling with the lock sensors does not seem to cause the problem. This is not a safety hazard but I bet neither the dealer or the manufacturer will come to my rescue when something is stolen out of my car because the doors unlocked themselves. Definitely a frustration and a nuisance!

Update from Feb 6, 2020: Since this vehicle I have had a 2017 MKX and now a 2020 Corsair. However WRT the MKC, the problem was eventually found to be moisture in the door handle sensors. The finally replaced two. Believe me, it too some convincing to get the dealer to finally recognize the problem. So much for Lincoln's luxury vehicles and a caring manufacturer and dealer. When I park my vehicle and get out I touch one of the lock sensors on either the drivers or rear passenger door. The doors lock. I take a step or two away from the car and the doors unlock. This has repeated up to three times on each occasion. I would estimate that it happens approximately half of the time. There has been occasions that I find the doors in the unlocked position in the morning having locked them the night before. I am never certain if the vehicle is locked and lately I stand by the drivers door for a few seconds to see what will happen. This problem is very frustrating and I never know if my vehicle is protected or not.

The dealer has done all he can do and helped me out as much as they can. They have contacted "oasis" more than once, their last instruction was to replace the body controller, to no avail.

I am at a loss to understand why they install these systems in vehicles when they cannot diagnose and repair the problems. I realize some problems can be difficult but this has been going on for four months.
