The contact owns a 2003 Lincoln Town car. While the vehicle was parked the contact tried opening the drivers side door and the latch assembly broke. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was informed by a technician that the latch was no longer available. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 46,000.
