Ok, well the first of many--- My alero will run out of gas at a quarter of a tank. One day I ran out of gas and I was trying to get as far as I could, and the thing cut off, of course, and not only that, It cut off on the side of the road near a pile of leaves, and it caught fire, and burned the bumper, which is now causing a clacking sound, but besides that, everytime I start it, it makes this loud noise, especially when I hit the gas. I can't go now, it doesn't let me speed up , and it is extremely loud. I am scared to drive it and I don't even know what to do. I've already replaced belt and alternator, and someone told me that it was the spark plugs melted. I just changed the spark plugs when I first got car which was 150,000 miles. Normally I'd feel stupid buying a car with so many miles, but it was only 400.00 and I needed a car extremely bad.

I am seriously realizing the problems with this car and wonder if it's not worth junking this car and going to a dealer and actually buying a car with payments, at least I can rely on it. I am somewhat scared to drive the car though since it is a gas thing. Also, the exhaust has this smell, as well as under the hood smells like something is burning everytime after I turn the car off. Oddly enough. Someone told me it could be the fuel regulator, but not sure. What is difference between regulator and fuel injection? I'm not sure. That's my first problem.

Second problem-- Security lights. I cannot on my life begin to explain why the dealership never offered a recall on this. I was soo happy to hear that other people were having the same problem. when you try to start the car up, the stupid security light blinks and you can't even start the dang thing for like 10 minutes exactly. It only happens when you NEED to be somewhere of course. I just can't believe that it seriously happens, but I've had the car about a year and it still does it.

Third--rpms. When I start the car, the rpms roar, and now when I am pressing gas, it roars into the high rpms, so I can tell the engine is overworking whereas it hasn't before. This has been a problem since I've got it.

Fourth--hmm lets see, of course the power windows don't work, well better put, they stopped working especially the driver's side, so I'm trying to go to u pull it and replace it with manual doors, just to have a window to feel air. otherwise in the 108 degree summer, tis a good calorie burner, but crappy.

Fifth---My tires will continuously lose air, due to front end. It already has been fixed a few times, but front end still crap.

Sixth---Turn signals + hazard lights--- well, they don't work continously just intermittently. Everyone has had these problems. I heard this was a recall, but of course I bought the car when it was right on 150,000 which was expiration of recall warranty.

Well, that is truly just a start. I'm glad there is no limit. I know many more people have these problems, but the gas problem is really concerning me. My car is just sitting out in the yard, undriven, since i'm trying to save up money without a car, hopefully attempting to buy a part that will actually HELP it to run normally. Seems like I should go on ahead and get another one. I'd like some expertise, if you have finally continued reading it, especially on the first problem. !! Thanks for listening to my BIG BEEF with my BAD car.!!
