Mech said Plymouth doesn't make the bushing anymore. Can't find any online. She said she can make one up, but can't guarantee it'll last. The existing bushing is worn and can't be tightened. A smaller alternator belt was installed. When I drive the beast it makes a scratching sound. The bushing is on the alternator mount. I'm not an auto literate. She said the bushing looks like a rubber grommet. I'm paranoid now when I drive. I'm afraid the bushing will disintegrate and the belt will fly out and a mac truck will run over me.

This week the beast had the water pump and timing belt replaced. Parts low, labor HIGH. Today the beast had a missing alternator belt replaced. The oil gasket and steering pressure hose were replaced. Parts low, labor HIGH. I'm in the wrong profession. I should've been a mechanic. Also replaced the battery. The beast is falling apart.

I am not a happy camper. Any suggestions? The beast needs to last at least a year before I can buy another used beast...help...
