In 2010 I bought this van at 133k miles with bad 3 speed automatic transmission. Garage installed a rebuilt transmission for $1,050. I assumed that the shop installed a new rear main oil seal on the crankshaft. Fast forward to 2020 and 200K miles. Overall the van has been a good car with very few problems, except for some minor oil leaks around valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket.

Around 2022 and 220k miles the rear main engine seal started leaking and progressively got worse. Then in the summer of 2023 it really got bad, and I was loosing a quart of oil every 50 miles while on a trip to Ohio. In desperation I filled up the engine with 20/50 oil and two bottles of STP which had a stop leak compound. Surprisingly that slowed the rear engine leak about 95%. Today at 240,570 miles I loose a quart about once a week.

The engine runs fine and uses very little oil, except for the leakage, but I only use the van now for short trips around town. I am actively looking for another vehicle, as I am afraid to take a long trip with it, plus I am not too happy about running 20/50 oil in the engine all the time.

The van is very clean with no rust, so I will try to sell it as a mechanic's special to someone who can drop the transmission and replace the rear engine oil seal.
