I have a 1995 Pontiac Firebird I bought it off one of my friends it only lasted about for about 2 months after driving it about 50 miles and parked it for 5 minutes it suddenly lost all power when i was pulling out into traffic it only straightened up when i barely hit the gas, then it would act fine sounding like it is hitting on all cylinders it has got worse over time. It takes about 5 minutes to get up to speed i went on the internet trying to find the solution to the problem , and it seems that there is alot of the same problem. One site told me that it might be the catalatyc converter so i cut it off didn't help so i put it back on. This is the only 95 model that i have seen that you can't click the key 3 times for it to flash a code when we first got it the check engine light was on the only thing it was, was a vacuum line since then it has been coming on and off randomly but i have had several people look at it and can't find the problem ,what is it about a 3.4 Pontiac or Camaro that makes this happen this one has got me baffled usually i can find it and fix it . I also checked the fuel pump which is in the worst spot you have to take everything off to get to it and also checked the filter, has plenty of pressure . I thought since it did it suddenly like that it would be something simple but after a month working on it ,

i am getting discouraged , now days you will pay more for replacing your sensors 100 times and computers , it would be cheaper to let the part run to the ground and then replace it like they did back in the earlier days . I have a friend that has a F150 that has never had to do any maintenance to the truck , our car is too dangerous to take our baby and to slow and unpredictable to take anywhere and is using gas like crazy just to go right up the road it s a major inconvience to not get to appointments after spending all the money we had for a car that lasted about 2 months . if anybody else has been experiencing anything like this with the 3.4 engine and has any more suggestion what it could be it would be greatly appreciated
