THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES TO MY HUSBAND AND I. IT SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING MORE FREQUENTLY. I PLAN ON CHANGING THE THROTTLE BODY AND PERHAPS THE POSITION SENSOR...ONE AT A TIME OF COURSE TO SEE IF IT FIXES THE PROBLEM.

IT USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN YOU STEP ON THE GAS TRYING TO PASS SOMEONE..LIKE A HARD PRESS, THEN THE THROTTLE GETS STUCK AND IT WONT STOP. LAST TIME I HAD TO PUT THE TRUCK IN NEUTRAL AND COAST ON A MAIN ROAD WITH THE ENGINE SCREAMING.

unintended acceleration

I've only owned the truck 1 Month. Made my first payment one day earlier, when my wife & I were heading down a busy street with the truck getting faster & faster. First I thought the cruise control was on, so I tapped the brake. Then I tried on the steering wheel, but no go. I also put the truck in neutral, but the engine just kept reving right up so I couldn't put in park because I would have to put it through reverse.

Even with my foot on the brake, the rear wheels were too much power. The whole time I was scared my truck would be destroyed but then I was worried about me and my wife.

Finally after keeping both feet on the brakes, the truck stalled after 1 1/2 blocks. Being the long weekend I took it 1 hour to get a tow thru CAA. During that wait, my wife kept calling the Dodge road side and was put on hold never did got thru to them!

After a Local Dealer looked it over only found 1 code on the computer showing brakes and throttle applied at the same time. They cleared the code and suggested it could have been a loose floor mat. The mats in question were bought and installed at the dealer, they were $300 weathertechs with the nice custom fit of the mat and clearance to the gas pedal don't see how this is the issue! I have advised Transport Canada incase this happens again to me or my wife or any other owner of a 2013 Dodge Ram.

It's a bad feeling to think your dream truck could be haunted!

Update from Oct 4, 2013: Because the Stereo / Gps system crashed the Ram Truck It had to go back to the Dealership where we Purchased it and after telling Service we still uncomfortable with the truck after the throttle issue they went over the truck.

The work order said they had to put new software on the system to repair both issues the radio and throttle problem. We will see... I still can't use the Criuse control on the truck as I hate the feeling it might not shut off and My Wife still doesn't want to Drive it.
