Purchased this truck new. Had my truck box put on and noticed that it was way off center. Bed was misaligned by 3-4 inches. Then I started to carefully inspect my brand new vehicle and began finding more interesting problems.
Update from Dec 29, 2014: Spoke with dealer today and apparently all of my issues are "NORMAL" !? My truck has been out since 12/1/14 and they requested I pick it up today 12/29/14. The service writer basically said that this and the other 6 or so issues ive posted here, and showed the dealer are within Ram guidelines or tolerances. The district manager went through my truck as well. My bed is actually closer to 4-6" off and this is normal??? They took it to 2 body shops and they could not adjust it and the district manager will not fix it according to the service writer. There are multiple places where paint was missed or is a completely different color than my trucks paint is..... and on and on.....
If this is all normal why keep my truck for an entire month, tell me you cant fix it, but that everything is within Ram guidelines? The service writer said "This is a mass produced vehicle" & "Some are better and some are worse" than my truck. How is this acceptable to anyone who puts there hard earned money down for a BRAND NEW VEHICLE? Had the dealer disclosed that issues with their vehicles was normal and within there guidelines, I would have never purchased a Ram. The service writer said every vehicle that is not handmade like a tesla for example will have issues and that he just bought a brand new $60,000 vehicle that needs $5000 in body work. I'm sorry but what??? If all cars were made this way I would take the bus. I have never in my life heard of this from any manufacturer, nor seen this. I traded in a perfect 2010 low mile quad cab silverado for this so I could take both my toddlers with me and get the better gas millage. I also have a case manager from Chrysler who cannot call me back on my cell phone and will not speak with me when I leave repeated messages. Beyond Angry
