The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed and was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The contact researched online and found many similar failures with exhaust fumes entering the cabin of the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 75,500.
The contact 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that on several occasions when the vehicle was started, there was a ticking sound coming from the middle of the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that on several occasions, he observed an abnormal odor inside the cabin of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the exhaust manifold, flange, and bolts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
