My 2500 RAM longbed crewcab is a "Tradesman", i am a contractor, so i put a lumber rack on my truck because i also am a TRADESMAN! Problem is this bed rail is 80% hollow and covered with cheap Chinese plastic. I have stress fractures on the outside sheetmetal body panels. And this is with an empty rack 99% of the time. If a work truck cannot be used for work then what the hell is it good for" What the hell do i do about a steadily growing fracture in the structural steel bed" Seatbelt springs are pathetic and barely retract, half the time they remain loose. Drivers side has been replaced and still does not properly retract

Safety belt does not automatically wind back up when released. You have to manually guide it back into place. Also the safety belt does not get tight while driving it lays loosely across my chest.

Seat Belt Retractor failure starting ~40k miles, both front seats. Beginning around 40,000 miles both driver and passenger front seat belt retractors failed. This means the belts do not retract back after being pulled out to buckle, leaving a flaccid and loose belt that does not properly protect the wearer in a crash. It has been a consistent (not intermittent) problem since. Dealer service at 65k miles revealed both seat belt retractors failed. No warning lights/error messages involved. A recall exists for the prior model year (2019) same model (ram 2500) for the same issue.
