3500 Longhorn Lariet 6.7L Diesel

I get very strong exhaust fumes in the cab intermittently. It mostly happens when sitting in traffic, but not always, and it doesn't happen often enough to pin down. The fumes are bad enough that it makes our eyes water and nose burn. It's like the entire exhaust system get diverted into the cabin vent system.

3500 Tradesman Diesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 600 miles

The exhaust fumes coming into the cab are making us very ill. We can't drive it without getting sick - headache, burning eyes, scratchy sore throat, nausea, and even chest pains up to two days after riding in the truck. The dealership says there is no exhaust leak but it runs like there is and there obviously is a leak.

We complained to Chrysler and they sent us to two more dealerships and even to the star team, who all say they can't smell it. One dealership replaced the EGR valve and that didn't fix the problem. We believe the problem is the same as the 2014 Ram 1500 ecodiesel that EPA has ordered Chrysler to repair.

Unfortunately not enough people have complained about the 2015 Ram 3500 diesel (ours is a 4x4) but it shouldn't matter since this is an exhaust problem. We went back to Lou Fusz and drove an identical brand new vehicle which also had the problem. We need more people to complain to Chrysler. If you know someone experiencing this problem please have them contact us. We are going to pay out of our pocket to prove that the problem exists by having the air quality tested in the vehicle. We will see where that gets us.
