Takata recall, received recall notice in mail over 3 weeks ago, called local Toyota dealership in albuquerque (larry H miller Toyota albuquerque) over 3 weeks ago requesting service to replace part. Called today, part is not in, told to call back in a couple weeks. Not sure what reasonable timeline is for airbag replacement. Supposedly limited parts, unclear wait time.

Takata recall I received a recall notice in the mail June 2016. A year later I have still not have a fix for this recall. This is my primary car and I have to drive my kids in this car. My daughter is now a new driver and she has to drive this car. The recall states " until the remedy becomes available we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. This is not an option for me and my family. I have to have someone in the front passenger seat as we are a family of four. I do not feel safe with me or my kids in this car and I think a year is plenty of time to have a fix. I am very unhappy that Toyota has not had a fix for this problem.

They would call me back when the part arrived. As of today, 5/5/17, the part has not arrived to round rock Toyota (Texas). I need to Transport passengers in my family car and this delay is endangering them. This is my only car. Takata recall: I got a safety recall on M car for the passenger side air bag, I am not able to drive my car because I have a family of 5. the dealership has had my car since the end of July 2016, they have been nice enough to provide me a rental, however they have had my car for 8 months now, what is going on" I am making car payments on a vehicle that I am not able to drive. What is going to be done about this? I think I need the dealership to give me a new car and give me what I have paid into my car for the last 8 months, on top of what the vehicle is worth private party. Why is this taking so long" this is not my fault for the safety recall.
