Symptoms

Check engine light came on and cruise light repeatedly flashed about every 2 seconds. Pressing any of the cruise buttons does not do anything.

Description

P0851 - Park/Neutral Position Switch Circuit Low Voltage:

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) monitors the Park/Neutral Switch signal. The TCM sets the OBDII code when the Park/Neutral Switch is not to factory specifications.

Troubleshooting

So far I have only done research, but it looks like the shifter needs to be re-adjusted.
