CarComplaints.com Notes: Is burning a quart of oil every 1,000 miles normal? Depends on who you ask. While Subaru says it's within "normal specifications," owners wonder why they need to top off their oil reservoir 4 times between every 5,000 mile oil change.

The paint scratches easily. Additionally, I have reason to believe that the paint is defective, because there are small areas of the paint, especially on the hood, that has small cracks. The service center says it's from something acidic, such as bird droppings or sap. Since I didn't pay extra for the "Elite paint package" it isn't covered under warranty. I don't think that it's right to pay for the layer of protection that should be on in the first place. Nor do I believe it's bird droppings or tree sap. I strongly believe that the paint is defective.

This seems to be a problem for many with 2014 Foresters. My car scratches if you look at it wrong. I bumped it with a rug and got deep scratches.
