CarComplaints.com Notes: Is burning a quart of oil every 1,000 miles normal? Depends on who you ask. While Subaru says it's within "normal specifications," owners wonder why they need to top off their oil reservoir 4 times between every 5,000 mile oil change.

I suppose the car is getting old, but man is this an expensive repair! The entire AC system needs to be replaced, which is going to be about $1400. This car has never been in a particularly hot climate, so it's unlikely the AC has been used extensively.

Did not know that the climate system was a weakness of the 2014 Subaru Forester. Found out. Beware.
