Subaru had been bothering me for a long time, about fixing 3 recalls on my 2016 Forester: a brake lamp recall, a passenger-side airbag recall, and a rear coil recall. I avoided doing this over the pandemic, also thinking I wanted to use a dealer that was not local to me, as the local Subaru dealer had scratched my car (my FIRST car scratch ever...they ruined my nice pristine car).
Anyway, I was to be in another city for a consulting gig, so I scheduled my service for there. The day after I got my Subaru back, my radio got stuck on its channel. It wouldn't change channels and the steering wheel control wouldn't work. It also wouldn't power off. At the time, I shut off my car and turned it back on, and it worked. So I headed out. Unfortunately, it did it again the next day. In the following days, the head unit froze between 1 and 6 times per day that I drove my Forester. Sometimes I shut off the car and it works, and then after a few minutes, it freezes again.
I noticed a lawsuit and complaints for other models, but not for 2016 Forester. :-(
