Head gasket, round one. First off, this car was meticulously maintained and the fact that it lasted this long is nothing short of a miracle, hearing of other people horror stories, however it unleashed a chain of events (cat clogged and ruined my head gaskets again!) that has rendered my car useless and I'm out almost 4k in repairs now. This is only one out of many problems I have encountered with this vehicle. I think I may have just gotten a lemon.

Impreza RS 2.5L

My Subaru had the normal burning of oil smell when it got hot because of the leaking head gasket on to the exhaust. Leak continued to get worse until the burning oil smell was constant, and leaking oil on the driveway. Had to replace head gasket on low mileage vehicle.

Reported spikes with overheating in engine, but nothing done until it was out of warranty... Hate Subaru Canada and the dealer.
