I own a 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara. Just around the 70,000 mile mark the blower fan started to act up. Sometimes it would work, then again not. The switch seemed touchy, often when I'd wiggle it a bit it may start up....another time if it was running it may stop. Not a good problem to have when you live in a cold climate!! There seemed to be no in between...either it ran or it didn't. My trusted garage told me it was the blower motor...(they had just replaced the same thing on another customer's similar vehicle (2008) the week earlier so they seemed tuned in to the problem without even looking. They also informed me that this problem seemed common among the vehicles. They ordered the part which after the smoke cleared was close to $600. No warranty here. Now again...less than a year later the same thing is starting to happen. I really wonder...is this infact the blower motor is a problem with the switch....( I really do trust my mechanic)...just hoping there is a simpler, less expensive fix. Here we go again....starting to wonder if I should start looking for new wheels??? Though all in all...I really love this little SUV...handles and performs well otherwise. Great driving in winter....love the 4X4 on demand!!
