Purchased new GV in August 09. In January of 2010 right rear tire was bald the left was half bald. Thought it was poor tires. Went to Yokohama and they would give me a discount if I replaced all four. The vehicle had only 16k miles on it. Replaced all for with Yokohama from discount tire. At 30k changed rear end oil because it was making noise; saw metal shavings in the oil. At 47k had to replace the second set or tires. Noise kept getting louder in the right rear wheel axle. At 47k I decided to rotate tires every 2k in a clockwise rotation because the right rear would eat up a tire in about 12k so I had to rotate them to get any kind of mileage out of a set. With this vehicle you can't replace one tire because the tire light in the dash will never go off I have tried it.At 60k the noise got so loud coming from the right rear. I had the rear end lifted off the ground placed the gar in drive and ran the odometer up to 50 miles per hour. I had a mechanic observe and listen to both wheels as the turned. The left appeared to be okay. the right side had a grinding noise and a visible tremor. Took it to a 4 wheel alignment shop and had it checked everything was in specification.Took it to Chacon Suzuki and explained what I had done and observed They checked it out and told me a bearing was worn. I left the vehicle for repair the next day they told me That Suzuki California said there was nothing wrong with the axle. they said i needed a transmission so the replaced the transmission. almost 10k later the right rear axle is still eating up tires. No help from Suzuki they are in denial. At 70k I am having to purchase my fourth set of tires. the third set has about 10k left
