Chrysler Recalls Vans and SUVs To Repair Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems
Over 10,000 Chrysler vans and SUVs could have have tire pressure problems without a driver knowing.

— Chrysler is recalling over 10,000 vans and SUVs to repair the tire pressure monitoring systems. The automaker says the problem affects the 2014 Chrysler Town and Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and the 2014 Jeep Wrangler.

Chrysler says a software error can cause the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) to misread or fail to learn the locations of sensors on the tires. This will cause a warning light to come on indicating a tire is low even though it isn't. In that condition a driver wouldn't know if any of the tires really were going flat.

The recalled 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country vans were manufactured March 20, 2014, to April 22, 2014, and the 2014 Jeep Wrangler SUVs were built March 21, 2014, to April 22, 2014.

Chrysler says owners should have already received recall notices with instructions to get the vehicles to a dealer to have the TPMS modules reprogrammed.

Owners of the 2014 Chrysler Town and Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Jeep Wrangler may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 and give them recall number P63.
