Jaguar Land Rover Recalls 104,000 Range Rover and XK Vehicles
Loss of braking ability and parking lights cause Jaguar Land Rover to order three recalls.

— Jaguar Land Rover has announced three recalls involving about 104,000 vehicles, which is a large number of vehicles for Jaguar.

Range Rover and Range Rover Sport

Jaguar Land Rover is recalling almost 25,000 model year 2013-2014 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles over braking problems.

Land Rover says the brake vacuum hose might be routed incorrectly which could cause a hole to appear in the hose. It could be real trouble stopping the Range Rover if the worn hose leaks.

Land Rover says the recalled Range Rover vehicles were manufactured August 16, 2012, to January 8, 2014, and the Range Rover Sport vehicles were produced May 7, 2013, to January 8, 2014.

The Range Rover and Range Rover Sport recall should begin about March 13, 2015. Land Rover will notify owners and dealers will correctly route the brake vacuum hose and repair any worn hoses.

Owners of the 2013-2014 Land Rover Range Rover and Range Rover Sport may contact the automaker at 800-637-6837 and refer to recall number P052.

Another 75,000 Range Rovers are called back to fix brake problems, although for similar but different reasons than the previous Range Rover recall.

Land Rover says the 2006-2012 Range Rover has front brake hoses that can rupture and cause the brake fluid to leak. Leaking fluid means more problems trying to stop the Range Rover.

The recalled Range Rovers were built April 15, 2005, to September 4, 2012.

The recall will get underway March 13, 2015. Land Rover dealers will replace the left and right brake hoses, although the automaker didn't say how much time that will take.

Owners of the 2006-2012 Land Rover Range Rover can contact the automaker at 800-637-6837 and tell customer service you need information about recall number P054.

Jaguar XK

Jaguar is recalling over 4,700 model year 2012-2015 Jaguar XK cars because the front parking lights can turn off after five minutes. Jaguar says if the side lights are switched on with the ignition off, the front lights should remain illuminated until the battery is dead.

The recalled $85,000 cars were built March 4, 2011, to March 20, 2014, and dealers will need to update the software that controls the front side parking lights.

The Jaguar XK recall should begin the same time as the other recalls, March 13, 2015.

XK owners with questions should call Jaguar at 800-452-4827 and reference recall number J049.
