Nissan Recalls 3 Models For Braking and Steering Problems
Nissan Pathfinder, Rogue and Infiniti QX60 have brake calipers that can detach.

— Nissan is recalling almost 900 newer vehicles because of braking and steering problems. Nissan names the vehicles as the 2014-2015 Nissan Pathfinder, 2014-2015 Infiniti QX60 and the 2014-2015 Nissan Rogue.

The automaker blames the problems on front wheel hub assembly fasteners that might not have been properly torqued during the assembly process.

Loose fasteners can cause the brake caliper to separate from the wheel assembly. If that happens, expect serious problems with the brakes and issues with reduced steering control.

Nissan says the recalled 2014-2015 Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 vehicles were manufactured August 14, 2014, to November 5, 2014, and the 2014-2015 Nissan Rogue vehicles were built August 12, 2014, to November 15, 2014.

The recall should start about February 25, 2015. Nissan dealers will inspect and make sure any loose bolts are tightened to specifications.

Owners of the 2014-2015 Nissan Pathfinder, 2014-2015 Infiniti QX60 and the 2014-2015 Nissan Rogue can contact Nissan customer service at 800-647-7261.
