— Mazda is recalling more than 900 Tribute SUVs at risk of fuel leaks and fires. The 2010-2011 Mazda Tributes have fuel delivery modules that can crack and cause gas leaks, leading to possible fires if the fuel hits an ignition source.
Mazda says the 3-liter Tribute SUVs were built March 3, 2009, to May 26, 2011.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration hasn't released additional details, but Mazda says the recall is scheduled to begin December 15, 2016. Mazda dealers will replace the fuel delivery module flanges with completely redesigned fuel supply ports.
CarComplaints.com will update this page when more information is available, but Tribute owners with questions should call 800-222-5500 and refer to Mazda's recall number 0416J.
Mazda recently had other gas leak problems about five weeks ago when the automaker recalled 17,500 model year 2014-2016 Mazda3 cars with gas tanks that may have been damaged during manufacturing.
